ABOUT eXcelleRes · OUR PARTNERSHIP · OUR APPROACH
eXcelleRes is an independent partnership co-founded in 2003 by Milo Izzinosa and Márcia de Almeida. We help organisations make complex transformation work: linking strategy, portfolio priorities, technology, people and practical execution.
We believe progress depends on sound decisions, engaged stakeholders, clear responsibilities and evidence that meaningful outcomes are being achieved. Our approach is adaptable to the specific organisation and its challenges.
eXcelleRes brings together partners who contribute to a shared focus on strategy, transformation and execution. Our engagements are shaped around client needs and the relevant expertise available, with an emphasis on direct collaboration, transparency and accountability.
We do not present a single individual’s career as the experience of every partner. Relevant assignments and professional backgrounds are described in context.
We begin with three questions: What are we trying to achieve? What is preventing progress? What needs to change for execution to happen? We use the answers to clarify decisions, ownership and dependencies. With accountable leaders and the people closest to the work, we test realistic improvements, learn from feedback and make evidence-based decisions about what to continue, change or stop.
We believe transformation should begin with demonstrable business value, not a preferred framework. We engage accountable leaders, influential practitioners and suitable early adopters, then support small, controlled changes with feedback. Where needed, we help reshape workflows, capabilities, responsibilities and governance. Progress is measured in adoption and outcomes, not activities completed.
Relevant individual professional experience associated with eXcelleRes spans energy networks, internet infrastructure, telecommunications, financial services, media and public organisations. Each environment has different constraints and stakeholders. We apply appropriate lessons to connect strategic choices with resources, dependencies, capabilities and reliable execution.
Our perspective has been informed by successive waves of digital change, from iterative delivery and internet-enabled services to knowledge management, enterprise systems and contemporary transformation. These examples reflect relevant professional backgrounds and do not imply that every partner participated in every assignment. Technology changes; the importance of business value, collaboration and sound decisions remains.
eXcelleRes was established in 2003 by co-founders Milo Izzinosa and Márcia de Almeida. Its work has evolved with changing organisational challenges, from digital delivery, consulting and capability development towards broader enterprise transformation and execution. We value methods only where they help make better decisions and achieve results.
Complex delivery environments must balance continuity with change. Our approach emphasises clarity of ownership, realistic coordination, collaboration across platform and organisational boundaries, and the capabilities leaders and teams need to make sustainable progress.
We help leaders translate strategic priorities into manageable portfolio choices. Together, we compare value, effort, risk, urgency, capacity and dependencies. Product and technology decisions should support shared business outcomes through realistic sequencing and regular review.
For us, change is adopted, not simply announced. We work with leaders and practitioners to test improvements in daily work, address concerns early, build skills and clarify responsibilities. Influential early adopters, suitable pilots and meaningful feedback help make change sustainable.
We distinguish evidence from assumptions. Together with clients, we define the starting point, measures that matter and decision accountability. Activities, changes adopted and business results are different things. We do not claim unverified benefits or present illustrative cases as validated client outcomes.
eXcelleRes was established to help organisations and professionals navigate and deliver complex change. Our focus connects strategy, enterprise portfolios, leadership, organisational change and execution. The constant is the practical value created when people, processes, decisions and technology work together.
We view transformation through the business challenge rather than an organisation chart. Work may involve portfolio investments, operating models, product ownership, process redesign, technology and ways of working. We clarify required capabilities, stakeholders and decisions, then agree an intervention proportionate to the situation.
Coaching, training and capability development support sustainable change. We use questioning, practical examples and constructive challenge to surface assumptions, develop judgement and help people strengthen their ability to act. Relevant teaching and coaching credentials are attributable to the professionals who hold them.
Before proposing an intervention, we seek to understand the intended outcome, stakeholder perspectives, current constraints and evidence. Together, we agree responsibilities, an appropriate baseline and meaningful measures. We prefer to begin at the smallest scale that can answer the next important question and adapt before undertaking a larger programme.
If you need interim enterprise transformation leadership, stronger portfolio alignment or support with complex organisational change, we welcome a direct conversation. Tell us what matters most, what is blocking progress and who needs to be involved. Together, we can establish a sensible starting point.
